About Jessica and Hdajio Boyd (MOM and DAD)
We're Jessica and Hdajio Boyd! Jessica—mother, former healthcare operations manager, and lifelong artist. After years of leading in professional spaces, I’ve embraced a new chapter as a stay-at-home mom, driven by love, advocacy, and creativity. Hdajio is an English Language Arts teacher with a rich background in radio, bringing storytelling and rhythm into every corner of our home. Together, we’ve embraced a life centered on love, learning, and neurodiversity. Our middle two children are autistic, and they’ve reshaped how we see the world. Their unique perspectives have inspired Big Feelings in Colors, a project born from our desire to help families identify, claim, and celebrate every step of their child’s emotional journey. We believe in empowering parents to love boldly, advocate fiercely, and know they are never alone. Resources, community, and connection are all within reach—and they can start right here with us. Now let us tell you about our Legend and Deja!
About Legend Boyd (OUR SUPERHERO)
Legend is 8 years old, bursting with energy, joy, and resilience. He’s currently in elementary school and has been diagnosed with autism, ADHD, anxiety, and OCD. While not every day is easy, Legend has a magical way of turning clouds into sunshine—his smile alone can flip your whole mood. He jumps, runs, and moves with purpose, and though he faces a severe speech delay, he always finds a way to express his big, beautiful feelings. Every emotion he shares is 100% Legend, and that authenticity inspires everyone around him—from his parents to his teachers to strangers who meet him once and never forget. He’s surrounded by a team that believes in him, and we’re all excited to see just how far his light will shine.
About Deja Hall (ABA THERAPIST)
Deja Hall is Legend’s dedicated (Register Behavior Technician) RBT therapist and a true force of compassion and expertise. She provides (Applied Behavior Analysis) ABA services and spends up to seven hours a day supporting Legend’s growth and emotional development. Deja is currently furthering her education to train future therapists, with a vision of guiding others through the early stages of working with children with disabilities. Beyond her work with Legend, she’s also involved in a nonprofit that gives back to the community through events and entertainment. Deja is an array of sunshine—her presence has been a constant source of strength and joy in our lives. She’s been part of Legend’s journey for years, and I wouldn’t trade her for the world.
